| Looking at upgrading the bose system.. My bose actually works just fine right now, but I want a new head unit. I am going to get an alpine or panasonic 7" in-dash DvD player. For right now I want to keep my bose speakers. I know there is a simple wire harness to connect to make this possible, and I know I can get it from crutchfeild (I've seen previous posts about this) I went to best buy just fot shits and grins today to see if they had this harness. Their head install guy strongly advised against it, saying it sounds HORRIBLE. Then he proceeded to tell me I need my entire car's audio wires re-wires and new brackets fabbed at a cost of over $280 (not including new speakers or head unit, or install for the speakers or head unit) That price is just the rewiring fee and speaker brackets. So the question is... How do the stock speakers sound after the new harness is used? This guy just full of shit like I think he is?
